IQBAL ACADEMY PAKISTAN, LAHORE is a national institution and Center of Excellence for Iqbal Studies, operating under the Government of Pakistan. Founded shortly after Pakistan’s creation, it operates under the Iqbal Academy Ordinance of 1962. The Academy’s objectives are to promote Iqbal’s works through teaching, lectures, scholarly gatherings, and international collaborations. It also publishes materials to spread Iqbal’s ideas, awards grants to authors, and collaborates with other organizations dedicated to Iqbal Studies. To achieve its goals, the Academy operates through seven core departments: Research and Editing, Publications, Public Relations, Library, Presidential Iqbal Awards, IT & Media, and Websites and Media Channels.
The Academics Department explores Iqbal’s philosophy and its relevance to contemporary issues, promoting values like tolerance and understanding. The Publications Department has produced hundreds of books in over 23 languages, aiding global research. The Outreach Department organizes events and exhibitions both nationally and internationally, and the Library holds the largest Iqbal collection worldwide, including rare items and 6,000 books in 43 languages. The IT Department manages the official website and other multimedia sites to spread Iqbal’s message globally, particularly to younger generations.

NATIONAL LANGUAGE PROMOTION DEPARTMENT (National Language Authority) was established on October 4, 1979, under Article 251 of the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973; to remove difficulties and pave the way for the adoption of Urdu; the national language, as the official language of the country; and present recommendations to the government for its usage as the working medium in all fields of life; and to promote cooperation among academic, research and educational institutions towards this end. On August 17, 2012, NLA was converted to an Attached Department. The Urdu Dictionary Board, Karachi and Urdu Science Board, Lahore has been declared as field offices since October 2021. However, in financial matters, both field offices use their own allocated separate budget.
Field office Urdu Dictionary Board, Karachi was established in 1958 to compile the Greater Urdu Dictionary on historical principles. Baba-e-Urdu Maulvi Abdul Haq was the first Chief Editor of the organization. Field office Urdu Science Board, Lahore was established 1962 to develop books and reading material in the field of Science and Technology in national language Urdu for students, teachers, and teacher’s training institutions as well as the general public.

COMSTECH the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) was established by the Third Islamic Summit of OIC held at Makkah, Saudi Arabia in January 1981. The President of Pakistan is Chairman of COMSTECH. The core mandate of COMSTECH is to strengthen cooperation among OIC Member States in science and technology (S&T), and enhance their capabilities through training in emerging areas, undertake follow-up-actions and implementation of the resolutions of the OIC, and to draw up programs and submit proposals designed to increase the capability of the Muslim countries in science and technology (S&T). The ultimate aim is to build and nourish a scientific culture in addition to using S&T as a major contributor to socio-economic development and rapid industrialization.
The objectives of COMSTECH include
- Assessment of human and material resources of Member States and identification of scientific and technological needs and requirements of the Ummah,
- Building indigenous capabilities of Member States in the fields of science and technology through cooperation and mutual assistance,
- Enhancement of cooperation and coordination in scientific and technological fields amongst the OIC member states with a view to achieving collective competence in science and technology for solution of the problems of the OIC member states,
- Creation of an effective institutional structure for planning, research, development and monitoring of scientific and technological activities at national, regional, and international levels.
COMSTECH works in close collaboration with various Standing Committees and other organs of the OIC, Member States of the OIC and their major Scientific and Technological Institutions, in addition to some international organizations.

ALAMA IQBAL OPEN UNIVERSITY, AIOU was established in May, 1974, with the main objectives of providing educational opportunities to masses and to those who cannot leave their homes and jobs. INSTITUTE OF URDU LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE, UNIVERSITY OF THE PUNJAB, LAHORE – The teaching of Urdu language and literature at an advanced level in Pakistan began in 1948 at the Department of Urdu, Oriental College, University of the Punjab, Lahore. As a pioneering institution, it established and formalized the traditions of higher education in Urdu following the independence of Pakistan.
The tradition of formal research in Urdu also began here under the guidance of Professor Hafiz Mahmood Sherani, who is rightfully regarded as the founding father of Urdu research. The Institute of Urdu Language and Literature has rendered invaluable services in the research and critical editing of classical Urdu texts — a contribution that forms a golden chapter in the literary history of Urdu. The Institute has also played a leading role in interpreting and analyzing new trends in contemporary Urdu literature. The Institute holds a distinguished position within the Oriental College, founded in 1870 as the Madrasah-i-Uloom-e-Mashriqia (School of Oriental Studies) and renamed Oriental College two years later. This eminent institution of the subcontinent was originally established for the teaching of oriental languages and disciplines, along with the promotion of modern sciences. Over the years, it has been associated with many of South Asia’s most prominent scholars, critics, and writers.

ISLAMIA UNIVERSITY OF BAHAWALPUR (IUB), BAHAWALPUR is a public sector university in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Many countries have laws limiting, if not banning, the use of antibiotics in poultry farming, while Pakistan doesn’t have such laws.
As per latest statistics Pakistan poultry population is the 3rd largest in the world, including all types of birds. Therefore, it is high time for this industry to introduce antibiotic-free chicken in Pakistan. HELPING HAND FOR RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT (HHRD) – A Beacon of Hope and Compassion is a US-based global humanitarian organization established by Pakistani Americans, dedicated to serving vulnerable and underprivileged communities worldwide. Through its Water for Life projects, HHRD has provided safe drinking water to 1.9 million people.
